Network of national and local Hispanic organizations, and our series of Hispanic Business Forums. These Forums will bring leaders together to discuss Hispanic business challenges and solutions. The first Forum will be held in Chicago on June 30 at Mi Tierra Restaurant in Chicago’s Little Village. The other Forums will be held in New York City, Denver, San Antonio, and Los Angeles. May 21-23: Conference for Latina Entrepreneurs in Washington, DC |
MANA’s 2009 Latina Health and Wealth Educational & Training Conference will be held at the Double Tree, Crystal City in Arlington, VA. As part of the conference, the Hispanic BIC and MANA will launch their ELLA initiative, the Entrepreneurial Latina Leaders AvanZando. The ELLA event, on Friday, May 22 from 9 am to 5 pm, will focus on training new and emerging Latina leaders on Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Capital and Green Initiatives. On May 15, President Michael Barrera will be making a presentation to various New York City government officials and Latino leaders about how the Hispanic BIC can assist Latino entrepreneurs in New York City and its 5 boroughs. |

Hispanic BIC Joins U.S. Leaders in Mexico City to Discuss Integration |
|
On March 26-27, Hispanic BIC President Michael Barrera, along with U.S. corporate, business and policy leaders, met with Mexican Government officials to discuss Mexico immigrant integration issues in the United States. Topics focused on issues such as entrepreneurship, health, and relations between Hispanic non-profits and Mexican immigrant organizations. |
